Rethinking Scientific Discourse
The Integrate and Fire seminar series focuses more on the perspectives and theories that our research revolves around, and less on the data and results, so that we may have deeper discussions on how these perspectives help us understand the bigger and broader questions in neuroscience that we all care about.
Provide opportunities for students to discuss their work with peers from intersecting fields.
Platform interdisciplinary scientific questions that extend beyond the scope of individual research projects.
Stimulate discussion, debate, and critical examination of these questions.
Each seminar begins with a short introduction to the Big Question of interest, covering any necessary background knowledge that may be required to familiarize the audience with the upcoming discussion
